New Pucks for Old!

Most operators of our well played Air Hockey tables have or have had a similar probem. The machine itself functions perfectly but the Pucks and paddles have seen better days. The Puck is no problem but the paddles hit your Wallet at about 20 euros a time. As two are used very intensively, they need to be replaced approximately every 3 months. These are costs that accumulate into quite a tidy sum.
What a lot of operators aren`t aware of is that with a little bit of work and know how, a good quality paddle can be refurbished and recycled. Reinhard Schloh, our resident Air Hockey expert shows how its done in the pictures.
PIC 1: Using and old kitchen knife to get under the felt pad and peel carefully from the Puck. Once removed use a Screwdriver to remove any glue or felt residue.
PIC 2: A clean "Filleted" puck
PIC 3: New felt pad and Rubber edging and your "new" puck is ready to go.

Uncle Reini says:

WIth a little practice and the right tools you can do this in under 5 minutes and it will cost you around a quarter of what a brand new Puck would cost. A good Moneysaving idea and a good job to do in the quiet times when there isn`t a lot of custom .
